ARC 2020 TAILORED FUTURISM
In an effort to design more efficiently, effectively, and responsibly, I spearheaded a radical new approach to the design and ideation process of our business. It was largely motivated by fashion’s contribution to the climate emergency.
The fashion industry is one of the major polluting industries in the world. The production and distribution of the crops, fibers, and garments used in fashion all contribute to differing forms of environmental pollution, including water, air, and soil pollution. and our solution was to leverage existing 3D design and visualization technology to design and rapidly ideate - virtually. Allowing us to drastically reduce our use of physically resources — to streamline the design process, reduce waste, and accelerate experimentation. The 2020 collection was born as a result of the work in 3D design and visualization.
